Annual Trip to Uttarakhand

After a gap of two years, SBT's annual tour was planned for 20 days to Sattal and Nainital in Uttarakhand. 320 children from the shelter homes and contact points, and 40 staff, went for the tour from 18th June-7th July.

Annual Trip to Manali

Since this was my first tour with the children and SBT, I was both excited and slightly over-awed by the whole thing. Taking so many children out for a sojourn is no cakewalk.

We left Delhi around noon on the 19th of June. The hours we spent travelling were long but interesting with short tea, snacks and bathroom breaks in-between, keeping us busy. We reached our hotel 'Mountainvilla' in Manali (Nehru Kund) at 8 a.m. on the morning of 20th.

Annual Trip to Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh and Solan, Himachal Pradesh

94 boys of DMRC Children's Home and Aasra Short Stay Shelter Home with 18 staff members of 6 days dating from 22nd June to 28th of June 2015.

34 girls from Arushi and 6 staff members spent 5 days in Solan. The children stayed at the premises of NGO RUCHI and were able to understand various techniques of Natural Resource Management in catchment villages.
