Join us on a captivating journey through the heart of Delhi’s history led by former street children and alumni of Salaam Baalak Trust Delhi!

Let’s Uncover Delhi’s History-

The Salaam City: Mehrauli Archaeological and Heritage walk is an English guided tour of almost 2 hours conducted by former street children and alumna of Salaam Baalak Trust Delhi. The team members are fully trained local tour guides who aspire to work on their communication and soft skills through this programme. The Mehrauli Heritage walk is an extended version of the City Walk Programme through which you will explore and uncover Delhi’s rich history and archaeology through our guide’s lens of perspective. You will also explore street life and personal stories of freedom and survival.

Through the Heritage walk we aim to connect people with the past and bring History to life through story telling and exploration. It will highlight architectural marvels, ancient monuments, significant buildings, and places of cultural importance.

Spanning an area of more than 200 acres, the Mehrauli Archaeological Park displays the rich heritage of India, starting from the Pre-Islamic to the Colonial phase. Situated right adjacent to the Qutub Complex, historically Mehrauli was first of the seven cities of Delhi. Mehrauli Archaeological Park accounts for several historically significant monuments, including the remains of the first city of Delhi, the capital of the Tomar rulers in the 11th century and also declared as one the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
